The Koch 45x19 aluminum doorbell profile

From the Koch company there are different variants of the doorbell signs (also known as sun signs) in the size 45 x 19mm. This doorbell sign is available in black or in polished aluminum. We are currently describing the other variant, the Koch 45x19 mm aluminum. This doorbell label is not polished, you still can't call it matt, it's not made of brushed aluminum either, you could call it aluminum nature, which probably best describes the surface color. The Koch sun signs are characterized by their rectangular basic shape with the strongly rounded corners, the screw holes with which the doorbell is screwed are absolutely typical for the Koch doorbell signs. These screws are specially made for these Koch bell signs and are only rarely available in hardware stores etc. If you need screws to screw your Koch doorbell plate tight, you can find these screws in our accessories.

The engraving by the chef 45x19 aluminum doorbell sign

The Koch doorbell plate in size 45x19mm is usually made of aluminum, regardless of the surface color. The engraving of these signs is different. Of course, all Koch signs are engraved with a milling engraving, the desired text is milled into the surface of the doorbell plate with a drill-like cutter. With the Koch doorbell plate with a normal aluminum surface, the engraved text is of course still the same color as the surface of the doorbell plate after engraving, i.e. simply silvery aluminum. In order to make the engraving easier to read or to improve the contrast between the engraving and the rest of the doorbell plate, the engraving is inserted or colored in black. At the end of the day, the beautiful black engraving is easy to read on the aluminum-colored Koch bell plate. So that the coloring of the engraving is permanent and of high quality, it is important that the sign is made absolutely free of grease with a cleaning agent after engraving. Only with this clean, grease-free surface can the engraving be colored cleanly without the color coming off again. The sign must also be freed of any impurities such as dust or chips from the engraving, all of these impurities do not guarantee a good engraving

How big is the writing on a Koch 45x19 aluminum black polished doorbell plate engraved?

The Koch 45x19 doorbell plate is a rather small doorbell plate with a width of 45mm and a height of 19mm, i.e. less than 2cm. As a further restriction for the text we have the two screw holes which limit the width of the engraving in single-line engravings. This means that the koch bell sign can usually be engraved a little larger if the engraving can be made on two lines. Normally, an engraving in the size of 3-5mm font size is engraved, but with the Koch sun signs it is often not possible to use such a large size, so depending on the number of letters to be engraved, the font size has to be reduced to 2.5 or 2mm , which is completely unproblematic, since this font size can still be read without any problems.
